The Best Place In Town Is Also the Darkest by Merisan
Erin makes singing sound so effortless. That's a real talent. This song grew on me. Good arrangement - smart to keep it simple.

I could never write a song like this. Quite compelling. [good]

P.S. How does it feel for you to return to somesongs as a user rather than an administrator? Strangely liberating, I hope.

Breaking the Ice by Merisan
I think this challenge could have worked better for you if you just shouted the vocals instead of "shout-singing" them, as you called it. (I just call that "singing" ;) It would have been looser and more fun with straight-up shouting I think. Erin sounds good for someone who recently lost her voice. Also, nice guitar solo!

Laugh To Live by Tuuur
Great opening bass line. I don't care for the lyrics, but the music is great.

Drunk Again by Tuuur
Enh. Not really into songs about being drunk and this one is not giving me any reason to change my mind. Nice harmonized guitar solo, though. [okay]

So Aggravating (Idiot Kings cover) by Jon Eric
The bass drum sounds weird to me. Like it's ever so slightly off the beat. Maybe it's just because it's so loud. Reminds me of Barenaked Ladies, which is not such a good thing for me, but probably is for other people.

OK Cupid by roymond
Love the bass. Chorus is so prog rock, but like Big Generator Yes, not Relayer Yes. ;) Great guitar break in the middle. Fun song--could be the ad jingle for the site.

Drunk Again by Tuuur
Yeah, good solo, but the song itself is not your best.

Home with you by Tuuur
I read tvith's comment before listening and I think I tainted my impression. I was expecting something great, but that just shows how music can be perceived so differently by each of us. I feel like this track lacks energy and I want more from the arrangement.

Older but not wiser by Tuuur
You know, I never do this two-chord verse thing and it's SO effective. To me, the solo seems very out of place--too ambitious for such a lazy groove. I think this is a great song.
