Corcovado by Roger, Roll
This is gorgeous. The guitar sounds authentic and atmospheric.

Deep Sub-Reddit by Lunkhead
"Where everyone has an opinion, but no one has a face." Great lyrics. I also like how the instrumentation keeps changing. I agree about your Postal Service comparison in the bridge. I wanted the chorus to stand out a little more, but overall this was a very well-deserved win.

Ignorance Is Bliss (Paco del Stinko cover) by Lunkhead
Did Paco help you with the vocals, or is your impression of him just THAT good? Sounds just like him. Well, the voice does. Few can hold a candle to his guitar, which is probably the only negative thing I'd have to say about this cover. Great performance and production.

how do i become clsoe to others? by The Cow Exchange
Yay, necroposting review!

I love your Singing Answer Man songs so much. The high energy here is great. I especially love those electric piano and organ parts.

Also, it took me until almost the end of the song to figure out why you were pronouncing "close" so strangely!

to dust by @suspiciousden
This is really good. The piano is excellent and builds a mood, and I love the pacing.

Your vocals are a little strange. They sound like they were recorded on a cheaper microphone than usual, or maybe they have an effect on them that "cheapens" the mix or something. I would recommend another pass at them, but otherwise I enjoyed this a lot!

Got The Time (Joe Jackson Cover) by Boffo Yux Dudes
Your synths sound a little cheap, but the lo-fi quality here is a nice contrast from Jackson's usual highly-polished studio sound.

I like the overlapping vocals. You managed to preserve some of that frenetic energy. Good job!

Shoot Your Friends by Ghost Pup
You don't actually believe this, do you? Charitably, I guess this is supposed to be satirizing the Jack Thompson "video games are ruining our youth" style arguments.

I agree with Lunkhead; the falsetto doesn't work, though maybe it could have if the double-tracked vocals were better synchronized. At some points they're out of tune with each other, and at some points they're off in the timing.

Finally, I don't think the verse should have been repeated. It pads the length for no reason.

The solo was pretty good. Maybe cut a verse, get to the solo sooner, tighten up the falsetto vocals, and you'd have something decent.

"This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)" by Talking Heads by Lunkhead
One of my favorite Talking Heads songs. You've done it justice with several different interesting synth tones. It's a shame that your throat gave you trouble... I've been fighting something for over three months at this point, so I sympathize. Think you might revisit this at some point?

Flying Sheep by Squid Warning
I like the different guitar tones here, and the vocals are doing a lot of different things, mostly successfully. I feel like this needs a b-section.

Writing Novels, Breaking Windows by Jack Of No Trade
Your voice sounds beautiful. Overall it's a very good song, but it feels unfinished. Maybe a violin part, or a second guitar might make it feel more complete. Especially in that bridge section, where you start strumming full chords; there needs to be another instrument there carrying melody.
