This is a re-recording of a song from a recent Songfight. People who remember it may rememeber that it was a somewhat spiffy tune with really bad buzz. Well I have good news and bad news.
Good news: The buzz is gone!
Bad news: So is Blue's amazing mix!
Enjoy.

stick with it jon, this is a great song. maybe a little too personal, lyrically.

yeah, generic.....it's not bad, and better than the first mix. i know i tend to dis your music alot but i do think you have talent and potential, even if it's not really my style.

great piano line. best song i heard on this site. maybe the arrangement could use a tiny bit of work(gets a little long at the end).. but thats just my taste... very good.

i feel like this could be tightened up and made shorter for a greater impact. (do not use my b+b as an example!) also, the vocal is passable, but doesn't sell the song for me, resulting in an ok. i can imagine a stronger performance that would get the good because, as you say, this is a somewhat spiffy tune.

Thanks for all the feedback. I knew there was something special about this song, which is why I rerecorded it, but I'm through with it for now. I will likely rerecord it somewhere down the line, but not in the foreseeable future. Nonetheless, I will keep in mind all this stuff, and I promise that if I record it again, the vocals will be closer to how they sounded in the first version - thirty times better than this. Thanks for all the feedback - and long live the songfight/somesongs community.

the piano sound is kind of lousy, i mean the way it's recorded -- it just seems kind of flat (not pitch-wise but like, lacking any kind of sparkle) and the drums are very swishy and mp3-compressiony. the singing is pretty well-done though, and if i could hear a better quality version (like, not an mp3 or at least a better-sounding one) this would be quite a decent song. the piano interlude went on longer than it needed to, i thought.

pretty good for e demo, or a sketch for a song. As it is this is not very listenable, and too long. ok for potential.
