This was based on a personal experience, then Jason did the "oooooo" and Frankie Big Face added some sax and it got really scarey! Wrote this for the OddioOverplay 2006 Halloween compilation "Calling All Fiends" just released (http://www.oddiooverplay.com/ears/fiends/index.html). Lyric in [notes]

"Made me know I lost my choice" made me lose the game.

This is great, excellent mix of tones, the piano tone is great, the whole development of the tune, very enjoyable, sets a great mood and holds steady.

Hey, glad I could help out on this one. Considering I sent you mostly crap, it's amazing you were able to make it sound so good. "Spooky songs" are a little too silly for me, but I love the mix and must admit I did have the song stuck in my head for a while. Good job, Roy!

this song has been stuck in my head much of this week, great job. probably my new favorite roymond song. "if i could breathe i'd yell beware!"/"i'd run away from there" are pretty awesome, but the whole mix of everything is just great. like, just the right blend of all the elements coming together. nice.

Sounds well done and produced, but mainly for effect. Sorry, don't like the sax or the song. OK.

It sounds like the theme tune for bizarro-James Bond. [good] ps Sax is the Devil's Lovepipe so extra scary points for that ;)

Hey, nice. Love the piano and ambience. oooooooo! The mix feels fatiguey to me. I turned down the volume a bit. I really like the song, though. Reminds me a bit of that Boingo album in feel. That's a good thing. Great vocal effects. I wouldn't change much except somehow tame the mix/master, perhaps.

The vocals are a bit dry, which wouldn't be a problem if everything else weren't so processed (which makes sense... echoes are spooky, right?). When you get to the change around 1:40, this goes from [okay] to [good] in my book.

The switch to chords for that walking-down line on the piano makes the whole thing more dynamic. What are those weird drums in the background around 3:10?

There's a ton of textures here, and I just can't write about everything I'm hearing. The mere fact that I'm tempted to makes this a definite [good], in spite of a somewhat slow start. Great going!

Apparently I've already rated this without commenting, which is unlike me. You got a [good], anyway.
