an outtake from the not-quite-near-future add album

[first 10] 9-18 of 18

EDIT (12/26/02): This is one of my favorite songs by you. It rules.

As always, it rocks my pants! I have so many fond (or is that hazy) memories of coming back from the bars in Boulder and listening to you tinker with this track for hours. It's nice to see that you finished it and give it to the world.

What?! Beautiful, funny.. truthful. I will guess fruityloops, as there is doubt over your owning a tr77, and it's better programmed than the defaults :) The reverse and octave harmonics are original-sounding with your great voice. Maybe stronger, louder harmonies on the last word of each verse? I can imagine this breaking down somewhere near the ending, the vocals coming from a distant location using that orange plugin a bit. Fractured, puzzled and selfless.. a daring irony! You are the most consistently understated lyricist. Not sure why I have not purchsed your cds yet.

Not the biggest fan of the drum sounds... to me they take away some of the mood of the lyrics...but they also kinda keep it all pretty light. I love the vocals... I even like the guitar licks...even as bad as they grate... but it's all so pretty. good work

I don't completely hate this song, but the drums aren't helping.

I think the main lick is not really worthy of having a song built around it.

Why must you do that vocal slide thing in every single song?

This is a great song, which I have now added to My Favorites. I had the same reaction to the percussion that Ali had, but now I realize that I can't think of any other percussion sound that would suit the song better

I think the beat has too many parts to it which convey pitch. ...Which I could probably figure out what pitch it conveyed if I really sat down and listened, and I think this takes away from the overall song. The rest of it is nice, yes. But that beat, though pretty decent otherwise, could be replaced by something else.

i think i like this less than other Add songs. the percussion is too busy and poppy (not pop like pop music but like snap crackle pop)... bear in mind though, even the worst Add song is still superior to most other songs :>

Don't like this electro drum pop type stuff. The song isn't catchy enough to me to hold its ground. On the bad side of OK.
