Songfight entry from summer of 06. I took the vocals down a notch, but they might still be too loud. Let me know!

Woohoo! New song! New song!

Oh... wait. It's two years old... ;-)

Yep, vocals sound somewhat on top of everything else. It's got a dreaded whistle, but this one is so jolly and positive... gotta give it a good.

I don't think the vocals are too loud, I just think all the music except the guitar is too low. This is a [good]. If I had listened to the fight I probably would have voted for it.

Good song. Good lyrics, good chord progression, everything about the composition is great. And now, the problems: 1) yes, the mix is not so good--sounds like karaoke or something with the vocal in front of very tiny backing tracks; 2) I think you should change the key to something higher--those low notes are just a tad too low for you and higher will force you belt the bridge, which I think would be good; 3) you mispronounce Lucia, which apparently has already been pointed out to you, so WHY AM I RUBBING IT IN?!. By the way, I hate whistling, but I love it in this song, so congrats on making me like whistling for once! [good]

Yeah, the vocals are too upfront. Is that a banjo?! Far too cheerful for my tastes, I'm afraid :) [okay]

kind of a lower quality JBB song. the vocals are indeed still too loud, but the whistling is not bad. (the harmony choir vocal bit is, though. sorry.)

come on you people. this is pure awesome. nitpick away (good advice on the key from Frankie) but you should feel downright proud.
