This song has a twin: Right here.

[first 10] 8-17 of 17
Jazz is right about the synth & guitar, but this is still good.

i wish something different had happened in the second verse (like another instrument or something or a slight change in drumbeat maybe). Hmm...long section in the middle with not much going on. I was waiting for something super-cool to happen (another section) and it didn't happen. Nice recording, but the song sounds unfinished to these ears. P.S. Liked the twin as much, maybe a little more.

Hard to listen to on headphones because of some of the placement. I occasionally loose the vocal under the guitar stabs. Gets a little plodding after a while, so not sure how much relisten value it's going to have.

Terrific vocal... deeper and more connected than i'm used to from you. Is it in the delivery or the mixing?

Twin is cute. Would make a good secret track as-is.

Please please put this on an album as Track One. And Final Track must be "The Road Ahead." Oh good god please. (I'm really digging Divider, by the way.)

i like "the road ahead" better, but this one is also good. the various instruments around the stereo field kind of mess with my brain but in a good way, and they all sound marvelous.

When I first found SomeSongs I made a CD of the top 20 songs and listened to it for a few weeks. I liked almost everything on it, but I always found myself skipping over this one. The vocals and the acoustic are great, but the hard panning, the repeating distorted chords, the generally static nature of the arrangement, and the un-hooky-ness (by that I mean I could never get this song stuck in my head) repel my un-educated ears. It's masterfully recorded and played, but I can never get all the way through it when I listen, and I have listened to it many times to see if it would grow on me [OKAY].

lots of laughs. I love it. Actually sounds like the english version of the mexican song they sing in From Dusk till Dawn. Absolutely fabulous.
