This is a really beautiful song, in my humble opinion. I'm glad that rating it slipped my mind all these months, because it gives me the opportunity to say: really, you should listen to this. There's a really good chance you'll like it. Yay! [good]

Edit 11/27/04 - This came up on random play today, hadn't heard it in a while, and I fell in love again. What an excellent song.

ooh, i would love it if some harmony vocals snuck in on the last note of the chorus (on the word "day"). and then you could continue them into the next verse in some sort of "la la" capacity. but even without my "production tip," this is really beautiful, unique, interesting. arpeggiate guitar might be a little loud at the end. i look forward to hearing this again soon. [good]

aw man, i thought i was being so inventive and clever using a typewriter as percussion on my song "paperback writer"... i guess there's nothing you can do that hasn't been done already. anyway this song is pretty awesome. although frankly i'm surprised nobody has brought up a comparison to jesus jones...

The typewriter often flirts with steadily percussing for a bar or two, and I wouldn't mind if i picked up the rhythm every so often. Not a fan of the weird crowd noises at the end - seems needlessly random in an attempt to differentiate the arrangement. Perhaps the girl should come at the beginning? Maybe just a snippet there, to make it mysterious?

Lots of well-done elements, but i don't feel like they're especially cohesive. [Okay]

Ha, great idea putting some typewriter sound underneath this.
It's all so well done... mix and singing and ideas and all. But I don't like the song as such. So just OK.

I was randomly thinking of this song the other day and here it is on somesongs. I like this, the lyrics really set up a great mood. The story really stuck with me after these years. Should have done this at SFP! Excellent rhythm guitar, great solo, the vox are really great over the picked guitar. I love this song.
